Gators Gain Control
Returning to the field looking to bounce back against the Florida Gators, Colorado State was led with offensive power from midfielder Mason Daly (#18) and attacker Jack Rego (#22). Florida was able to capitalize with key scoring runs throughout the contest.
Despite Colorado State keeping pace in the first quarter, the Gators pulled away in the second, controlling the game and securing a 18-12 win.

The Gators struck first with two early goals to open the contest. Midfielder Ethan Scheik (#17) recorded CSU’s first goal of the game, barreling through the defense and burying a shot at 7:10.

Faceoff specialist Max Hall (#14) tied the game moments later, finding the net directly from the faceoff X at 7:02.

At 4:58, Daly gave the Rams their first lead of the game, sinking a jump shot into the corner of the net.

Florida responded with goals at 3:51 and 3:10. Striking again at 2:11, Daly faked out the Gators goalie, going low before placing the ball into the top corner of the cage.

The Gators added a goal at 1:20, giving Florida a lead heading into the second quarter.
Q1 CSU 4 || UF 5
Coming into the second, Florida entered a scoring surge, netting four goals in the first five minutes.
At 4:00, Rego broke the run for CSU, scoring off an assist from midfielder Cullen Gorman (#44).

The Gators added two more goals at 3:05 and 0:45 to close the half.

Less than 45 seconds in the third, midfielder Adyn Cover (#1) found space on the doorstep off a pass from midfielder Ryan Menard (#53).

Both teams traded momentum throughout the quarter, Florida striking at 12:14 before Rego found the net again at 9:12 off an assist by Scheik.

The Gators scored again at 8:26, but Rego answered once more at 7:07, recording his third goal of the game.
Four more goals were scored by the Gators in the third, at 6:19, 5:43 and 2:34.
CSU found their way at 4:34 with Daly completing his hat trick off a skip pass from Menard.

Q3 CSU 9 || UF 16
Heading into the fourth quarter, Rams goalie Charlie Bibaud (#33) was replaced by Eli Goth (#99) for the remainder of the game.
At 11:31, attacker Tanner Marsh (#91) created space and scored for the Rams. Florida answered with another goal at 10:37.
Rego found the net again at 6:00.
With 1:20 remaining, attackman Brandon Krause (#10) netted his first career goal for CSU.

Closing out the game Florida added their final goal with 20 seconds remaining.
