Players to Watch
Offensive Player: Junior midfielder Adyn Cover (#1) made an impact against Santa Clara, scoring two of the Rams 15 goals. One goal came within the first two minutes of the second quarter, with his second showcasing his strong ability to close a game, finding the back of the net with just six seconds left.
Defensive Player: Junior defender Joe Dixon (#41) plays a key role within CSU’s defense, causing turnovers and initiating clears after collecting ground balls. His physicality and awareness on the defensive end will provide stability and help set the tone for CSU’s defensive unit.
UC Berkeley Player: Sophomore midfielder Seth Jordan has started the season strong, leading the team in shots four games in. With eight points to his name so far, Jordan has become a key contributor after missing the last seven games of the 2025 season.
UC Berkeley on the Field
2-2 Record
So far this season, UC Berkeley has split their results. The Golden Bears lost their first two games, falling to divisional rival Cal Poly 8-7 Feb. 7, falling also to Chapman 11-6 Feb. 13.
The team took away their first win Feb. 14 against Northeastern 12-9. UC Berkeley took on CSU rival The University of Colorado Boulder (CU), where they took away the win after trailing behind CU 12-10.
CSU showed that an opponent’s home-field advantage means nothing to them. Scoring five goals within the first 15 minutes against Santa Clara set the tone early, and continued to find the back of the net until the final second. This could prove crucial in what may be a tight game Sunday.
