This game showcased some of CSUźs younger talent as 10 of the Ramsź starters didnźt even dress. Leading the way on the scoring side were John Naab (2 goals, 4 assists), Nick Harper (2g, 3a) and Bo Everett (3g, 2a). Doug Priebe (4g, 1a) and Jim Hasson (1g, 3a) also got into the act. On the defensive side of the field, Jason Newell, Sean Fitzgerald, Ryan Geiser, and Josh Henry got the job done holding Mines under 10 goals.
Mines played an inspired game despite only having five or six subs on the bench. Goaltender Chad Ones played well, making several outstanding saves. The Rams now look forward to a league game with Northern Colorado on Wednesday followed by a huge test against Division III Colorado College.
