On a cool, windy spring day in Ft. Collins Colorado State couldn’t overcome a first quarter 5-1 deficit, and fell to Colorado College, 11-9 in a game between in-state foes. CSU (9-2 overall) couldn’t get untracked early against the Division 3 Tigers, who had recently returned from an east coast trip, came out strong, and led 7-1 at intermission. The second half had a very different look that led to a very exciting finish. Four unanswered goals by CSU made it 10-8 with 6:38 left in the game, but that was as close as the Rams got.
