Colorado State University Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2011 Schedule

Fort Collins, CO – The Colorado State University men’s lacrosse team has announced a 15 game regular season schedule under second-year head coach Alex Smith in 2011. This season includes four home games and a large number of tough away games for the Rams.
2010: A New Era

2010 marked a new era for Colorado State University men’s lacrosse as Alex Smith took the helm for his first full season as head coach. Graduating from Colorado State in 2003 as a goaltender, Smith was a part of three national championship teams as a player.
Rams Roll at Pumpkin Shootout

GOLDEN, Colorado— The Colorado State University Rams finished the 2010 fall season in style with three wins at the Pumpkin Shootout at the Manning School in Golden, CO. Playing shortened games, the Rams beat UNC 8-4 and Regis 12-1 and in the showcase game of the tournament, defeated the University of Colorado 6-2. Everyone got a chance to play on an unseasonably hot day in late October as the Rams worked through their roster in their final outdoor competition of the fall.

Team Genesis Wins Masters Championship in Vail!

VAIL, Colorado— Team Genesis, with 16 CSU graduates on the roster, won their first ever Masters Division championship at the Vail Lacrosse Shootout in 2010! The team won the over-30 division in the Shootout over two-time champion Jagermeister in a thrilling 12-11 game.

Scrimmages against two local NCAA Division I teams highlight a schedule that will span three separate weekends in October and pit the Rams against eight different teams.
CSU Announces 2010 Award Winners

FORT COLLINS, Colorado— The Colorado State University Men’s Lacrosse team is happy to announce its award winners for the 2010 season. CSU featured ten players on the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference All-Conference team and four on the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association All-America squad. The Rams also swept the individual awards in the RMLC, taking Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Coach of the Year honors.

COMMERCE CITY, Colorado— It wasn’t the outcome the team hoped for. Colorado State and Simon Fraser were neck and neck the entire game, but it was a quick break away by the Clansmen that scored them the winning goal in overtime.
Rams Get First Round Win Against Boston College 10-7

COMMERCE CITY, Colorado— The Rams won against the Boston College Eagles in the first round of the MCLA National Championship games on Tuesday, but the 10-7 win was hard fought.
Second Half Explosion Propels Colorado State to RMLC Championship Over BYU

PROVO, Utah— The #2 Colorado State Rams used a 9-3 second half run and a season-high eight points from RMLC Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kehoe to capture their sixth RMLC Championship with a 15-10 win over #4 Brigham Young in Provo, UT Saturday afternoon. The win marked CSU’s first conference title since their 8-7 win over Colorado in 2006 and should assure the team of a high seed in the upcoming national tournament to be held at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, CO.
