Grand Junction, CO – The #3 Colorado State Rams backed up their double overtime victory over #9 Colorado two weeks ago with a solid 8-5 effort in the semifinals of the RMLC tournament on Friday night. Colorado State jumped out to a 4-1 lead at the half and withstood a third quarter rally by the Buffaloes to reach the RMLC title game for the third consecutive year.

PROVO, Utah— The #2 Colorado State Rams used a 9-3 second half run and a season-high eight points from RMLC Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kehoe to capture their sixth RMLC Championship with a 15-10 win over #4 Brigham Young in Provo, UT Saturday afternoon. The win marked CSU’s first conference title since their 8-7 win over Colorado in 2006 and should assure the team of a high seed in the upcoming national tournament to be held at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver, CO.
CSU Advances to RMLC Championship with 15-7 Victory Over Utah

PROVO, Utah— The #2 Colorado State Rams opened up RMLC conference tournament play with a workman-like effort against #18 Utah, turning a 5-2 halftime score into a 15-7 victory. The Rams were paced by Cooper Kehoe’s six point effort, but the game was closer than the score may indicate as Utah made CSU work for everything they got during the game.
Brigham Young Hands Colorado State Opening Round RMLC Loss

Boulder, Colorado- Playing as if it could have been their last game of the season, Colorado State left it all on the field in their RMLC opening round loss to conference rival Brigham Young, 7-12. The Rams played with a passion and excitement for the game and an intensity that has not been present in the past few games.
Colorado State Looks to Redeem Themselves in RMLC Playoffs

Boulder, Colorado- This weekend will be an exciting one for the RMLC. With #2 seed Brigham Young playing #3 seed Colorado State at 4 p.m., and #1 seed Colorado hosting #4 seed Utah at 7 p.m. (according to the RMLC website), it should be anybody’s game. Both games will be played on Franklin Field, as well as the championship game the following day at 4 p.m.

For the first time in several years, the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Lacrosse League Championship trophy would stay in the state of Colorado. With Brigham Young defeated by Colorado State 17-16 in thrilling fashion on Friday, the University of Colorado, who defeated Fort Lewis 23-6, would take on Colorado State in the RMILL Championship game. In a game marred by a lightning storm, the Rams were able to jump out to an early lead and hold on for a 21-15 win for their first RMILL Championship under coach Flip Naumburg. Jared Katz, who missed the last game against CU, started the scoring early with an unassisted goal at 14:00.

In what could arguably be called the most exciting game of the year, the #4 ranked Colorado State Rams and the #5 ranked Brigham Young Cougars squared off in a rematch of CSUís 21-11 win earlier this month. This game proved to be much more competitive as the Rams had to come back from five down to pull out a thrilling 17-16 victory.
