Ted Fifield

Coach Fifield joins CSU Lacrosse following a five years of coaching at the MCLA, high school, and youth levels of lacrosse. He is a native of North Babylon, NY and attended Chaminade High School on Long Island. Fifield participated on two NSCHSAA Championship winning teams during his time at Chaminade before deciding to attend Sacred Heart University for his undergraduate studies. Fifield seized an opportunity to grow the game at Sacred Heart and established the men’s club lacrosse program in 2007. He served as both president and captain from 2007-2010, leading the team to a NY Metro Division title and an appearance in the Elite Eight of the NCLL DII National Championships in 2010. Fifield then moved west to attend the University of Denver, where he earned his Masters degree in Sport & Performance Psychology. He immediately put those skills to use as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator at Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, CO.
After earning his graduate degree, Fifield moved to Madison, WI where he became the defensive coordinator for the University of Wisconsin’s MCLA team from 2012 to 2014. He helped lead the Badgers to the GRLC regular season title in 2013. During his time with the Badgers, Coach Fifield helped develop five GRLC/UMLC All-Conference defensive players, including the 2013 GRLC Defensive Player of the Year. Fifield will serve the team as both the head coach and defensive coordinator for Colorado State this season. He will look to build upon his past coaching experiences by leading Rams back to the top of the RMLC and MCLA in 2016.
