T.W. Winston

In his first full season with the Rams as Defensive Coordinator in 2010, TW Winston’s impact was immediately felt. Coming to CSU with a strong pedigree after playing his high school ball at Boys’ Latin in Baltimore and then collegiately for John Haus at Washington College, Winston’s knowledge and energy on the defensive end became a huge part of the team’s success.
Winston’s defense allowed just under 7 goals a game in 2010, only allowing double digits twice. In 2011, Winston was in charge of four all-conference players and led the defense to a 6.88 goals against average in 21 games. 2012 saw even more gains as Winston spearheaded a defensive effort that allowed only 5.06 goals against in 21 games and set an MCLA record with a paltry 15 goals against in four national tournament contests.
Winston’s defense was even better in 2013, as all three members of the close defense were named as National Championship Game MVPs while allowing only two goals in the national championship game.
