Colorado State (6) will host Arizona State (14) at 4:00 PM this afternoon on the CSU intramural fields. The teams were originally scheduled to play on March 26. Unfortunately, the Sun Devils flight was canceled due to inclement weather, and the game was rescheduled for April 13.
Arizona State has a 5-4 record and is currently ranked 14th in the Under Armour MCLA Coaches Poll. The Sun Devils have won their last 3 games including a huge 12-9 victory over Colorado last night. The impressive victory over the Buffs demonstrates that Arizona State has rejoined the elite after several mid-season stumbles.
The Sun Devils are hot right now, but the Rams are among the hottest teams in the MCLA. CSU has won their last 7 games, including a morale boosting 10-6 victory over BYU (8). In Hindsight, ASU may have rather played the Rams a month ago before their winning streak really started to pile on.
This is CSU’s last home game of the season. They look to finish strong with a win tonight over Arizona State, then complete the regular season on Saturday with a win over Colorado in Boulder. The Rams have Orange County in their sights and they are gearing up to make a run for their 7th MCLA national championship.
