Game Recap – CSU 21, CU 15

For the first time in several years, the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Lacrosse League Championship trophy would stay in the state of Colorado. With Brigham Young defeated by Colorado State 17-16 in thrilling fashion on Friday, the University of Colorado, who defeated Fort Lewis 23-6, would take on Colorado State in the RMILL Championship game. In a game marred by a lightning storm, the Rams were able to jump out to an early lead and hold on for a 21-15 win for their first RMILL Championship under coach Flip Naumburg. Jared Katz, who missed the last game against CU, started the scoring early with an unassisted goal at 14:00.
