Game Recap – CSU 21, CU 15

For the first time in several years, the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Lacrosse League Championship trophy would stay in the state of Colorado. With Brigham Young defeated by Colorado State 17-16 in thrilling fashion on Friday, the University of Colorado, who defeated Fort Lewis 23-6, would take on Colorado State in the RMILL Championship game. In a game marred by a lightning storm, the Rams were able to jump out to an early lead and hold on for a 21-15 win for their first RMILL Championship under coach Flip Naumburg. Jared Katz, who missed the last game against CU, started the scoring early with an unassisted goal at 14:00.
Game Recap – CSU 17 BYU 16

In what could arguably be called the most exciting game of the year, the #4 ranked Colorado State Rams and the #5 ranked Brigham Young Cougars squared off in a rematch of CSUís 21-11 win earlier this month. This game proved to be much more competitive as the Rams had to come back from five down to pull out a thrilling 17-16 victory.

In a game filled with hard hits and big emotion, the Colorado State Rams saw their dreams of St. Louis take a sudden turn for the worse with a tough 16-13 loss to the #13 ranked Colorado Buffaloes. The Buffs took advantage of some key injuries to the Rams as they utilized some of the best outside shooting that CSU had seen up to now. Starting goaltender Cale Vanvelkinburgh sat out the game with a broken hand sustained in last weekís game against BYU and speedster midfielder Jared Katz missed the game due to family reasons.

Usually when the Colorado State Rams and Brigham Young University Cougars get together in any sport, the sparks fly and both teams play their best. However on a sunny spring afternoon in Fort Collins, Colorado, the #5 ranked Rams got back their old fire and put a convincing 21-11 spanking on the #4 ranked Cougars.
Game Recap – CSU 24, Northern Colorado 4

After almost a two week layoff, including a disappointing snow out in Fort Lewis, the #5 ranked Colorado State Rams took their game to Greeley, Colorado to take on the University of Northern Colorado. State scored early and often while cruising to an easy 24-4 win.
Game Recap – CSU 13, UC Davis 7

Under the lights at Cal-Davis, the Colorado State Rams finally finished up a gruelling road trip. They were able to salvage something from the trip despite going 2-2 and losing their number 1 ranking.
Game Recap – CSU 16, Stanford 7

The Colorado State Rams bounced back from their thumping against Cal with a convincing 16-7 thrashing of #13 Stanford on a wet day in northern California. The Rams never trailed and were able to put away the Cardinal with the help of excellent man-down play and an attack which out played the Stanford defense all day long.
Game Recap – CSU 9, UC Berkeley 14

Showing obvious signs of mental and physical fatigue from their heart-wrenching loss against Sonoma State, the Colorado State Rams came to Berkeley to face off against the California Golden Bears in a rematch of last years 13-11 loss. The Rams played their first game of the year on turf in this game but never seemed to get their wheels under them in a convincing 14-9 loss.
Game Recap – CSU 12, Sonoma State 13

The #1 ranked Colorado State Rams faced off against #2 Sonoma State in a rematch of the most exciting game in St. Louis last year. On a mud-soaked and rain-drenched field, the Cossacks pulled out a 13-12 victory to avenge their 12-11 loss last year in the semi-finals. The Rams battled back from three goal deficits several times during the game, but Sonoma was able to hold on for a one goal victory in a very exciting game.
Game Recap – CSU 23, Mines 3

The Colorado State Rams (3-0 overall, 2-0 league) followed up on their 12-3 victory against Colorado with a strong statement against the Colorado School of Mines on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Scoring came often as 11 different players tallied for the Rams in a convincing 23-3 rout of league foe Mines.
