Regan, who saved 63.9% of his shots and had a goals against average of 6.19, was joined on the first team by senior defenseman Tim Miaskiewicz (Mullen HS; Denver, CO) and junior face-off man Brian Roach (Wheat Ridge HS; Westminster, CO).
Miaskiewicz was second on the team with 18 caused turnovers and fifth on the team with 28 ground balls. Roach hit his stride late in the year, winning over 57% of his face-offs and leading the team with 39 ground balls.
The other half of CSU’s goalie tandem, Koltin Fatzinger (Wheat Ridge HS; Thornton, CO), was honored on the RMLC’s second team, marking the first time in recent history that two goalies from the same team were named as conference honorees. Fatzinger had a save percentage of 60% and a goals against average of 7.92 on the season.
Other second team members included senior attackman Sean Smith (Amherst HS; Amherst, NY), junior midfielder Eric Uhl (The Masters School; Simsbury, CT); junior defensive midfielder Jack Curry (Langley HS; McLean, VA) and freshman defenseman Alec Gieser (Arapahoe HS; Littleton, CO).
Colorado State travels to the MCLA National Tournament and will face-off against 12th seeded Simon Fraser on Monday afternoon.
