#2 CSU Breezes Into National Semis with 14-0 Blanking of #11 Arizona State - 5/16/07
Frisco, TX – After dispatching #15 Florida in the MCLA tournament’s first round Tuesday night, the #2 Colorado State Rams marched into the semifinals with a commanding 14-0 shutout win over the #11 Arizona State Sundevils on Wednesday. The Rams controlled the pace of the game all over the field on a pleasant evening at Pizza Hut Park, using patient offensive possessions and stifling defense in the victory. Junior midfielder/attackman John Tomlinson (Smoky Hill HS; Aurora, CO) was absolutely stellar, scoring three goals and six assists. CSU Falls Short in Comeback Bid; BYU Takes RMLC Crown 12-10 - 5/5/07
Boulder, CO – #2 Colorado State spotted the #1 Brigham Young Cougars a 9-1 lead early in the second half before making a spirited rally that fell just short in the RMLC championship game Saturday afternoon in Boulder. CSU failed to convert on 11 man-up opportunities in a very tightly officiated and choppy game. Chilly weather and a driving second half rainstorm combined with CSU’s fourth quarter run to make an entertaining finish after BYU threatened to turn this game into a laugher early. #2 Rams Advance to RMLC Finals with 8-6 win over #6 CU - 5/4/07
Boulder, CO – In their second meeting in three weeks, the #2 Colorado State Rams defeated the #6 Colorado Buffaloes 8-6 in the RMLC semifinals Friday night. On an evening that featured very slick field conditions and intermittent rain showers, the Rams trailed 5-4 at halftime, but held the Buffaloes scoreless over nearly 47 minutes of game time on their way to the victory. Denver, CO – For a second consecutive year, the #2 Colorado State Rams and #6 Colorado Buffaloes met at INVESCO Field at Mile High Stadium in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Showdown on Saturday night. In a rematch of last year’s national championship game, the Rams got huge efforts from senior attackman Brian Stone (Air Academy HS; Colorado Springs, CO) and Tyson Ehinger (Heritage HS; Littleton, CO) as they dispatched of their rivals from the south with a resounding 13-5 victory. INVESCO Field at Mile High Stadium to Host Fourth Annual Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Showdown - 4/16/07
Denver, CO – For the second consecutive year, INVESCO Field at Mile High Stadium will be the site of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Showdown between perennial in-state rivals Colorado State University and the University of Colorado. Last year the two foes met in a historic battle at INVESCO, marking collegiate lacrosse’s first foray into Denver’s premiere stadium location. This season on April 21st, thanks to the MLL’s Denver Outlaws and the Colorado State University Lacrosse Alumni Association, the #2 Rams and the #6 Buffaloes are back for another encounter in what should prove to be the MCLA’s highest attended regular season game in history. CSU Records Emphatic 17-10 Win Over #1 Michigan - 4/7/07
St. Charles, MO – The #4 Colorado State Rams let loose their most complete offensive effort of the season against the top ranked Michigan Wolverines, running out to a 6-1 lead in the first quarter on a bone-chillingly cold Saturday afternoon on the campus of Lindenwood University. The Rams seemingly scored in every way possible in the first half, leading 6-2 after one quarter and 11-5 at the half on their way to a comfortable 17-10 victory over the #1 Wolverines. #4 Colorado State Blasts Chapman 17-4 - 3/31/07
Fort Collins, CO – Eight different players scored multiple points, including one goal and six assists from senior Danny Stevens (Suffern HS; Suffern, NY), as the #4 Colorado State Rams completed a three game home-stand with a 17-4 victory over the Chapman Panthers. The Rams led 4-0 after one quarter and never looked back, controlling the action all over the field on a cool and blustery day in their first ever match-up with Chapman. The win was CSU’s third this week against visiting WCLL teams and was their last home game of the season. Read More

#4 CSU Freezes Out UC-San Diego 17-4 for Fourth Straight Win - 3/29/07
Fort Collins, CO – Despite snow-covered fields early in the day, the #4 Colorado State Rams were able to host the UC-San Diego Tritons on the campus of Colorado State University Thursday afternoon. While the fields warmed up enough to melt the snow, the conditions were cold and blustery and CSU dominated the warm-weather Tritons from start to finish in a 17-4 romp that saw 13 different players score points. All active field players got game action in the contest as the Rams moved to 8-2 on the season and 2-0 on their three-game home stand. Read More

MacDonald's Three Goals lead #4 Rams Over #10 UCSB 8-3 - 3/27/07
Fort Collins, CO - The #4 Colorado State University men's lacrosse team got a gritty defensive effort and three goals from junior midfielder Ryan MacDonald (Smoky Hill HS; Aurora, CO) to down #10 UC-Santa Barbara on a pleasant afternoon in Fort Collins. CSU led 5-2 at the half and kept UCSB off the scoreboard for the final 17:47 to secure a big non-conference win over the Gauchos. The 8-3 victory was CSU's third straight over UCSB going back to the 2004 National Championship game and moves their record to 7-2 on the season. Read More

CSU Defense Paves Way for 7-6 Victory over #8 Minnesota-Duluth - 3/13/07
Provo, UT – The #5 Colorado State Rams needed every bit of energy they could muster against the #8 Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs on a warm day on the campus of Brigham Young University. Leading 7-4 after three quarters, CSU leaned on its defense to keep the Bulldogs at bay for the final frame after UMD clawed back to within one. In their fourth game in five days, CSU got all they wanted and more from the Bulldogs and eventually prevailed with a 7-6 victory. Read More

Three CSU Players Net Hat Tricks in 11-4 Win over #12 Utah - 3/12/07
Salt Lake City, UT – The #5 Colorado State University men’s lacrosse team got three goals a piece from midfielders Stephen Lundberg (Cherry Creek HS; Englewood, CO), and Ryan MacDonald (Smoky Hill HS; Aurora, CO) and three more from attackman Brian Stone (Air Academy HS; Colorado Springs, CO) as they coasted to an 11-4 RMLC conference victory over #12 Utah. CSU’s midfield had its way with the Utes on a sunny Spring day that bordered on hot at times at the campus of the University of Utah. The Rams turned a 5-2 halftime lead into an 11-4 victory that moved their record to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play. Read More

#5 Colorado State Drops 8-7 Heartbreaker to #1 Brigham Young - 3/10/07
Provo, UT – The #1 Brigham Young Cougars jumped out to a 5-1 lead after one quarter and held off a furious rally from #5 Colorado State on a sun drenched day in Provo, UT to come away with an important 8-7 RMLC league victory. Despite playing three solid quarters, the Rams were unable to overcome that early deficit and fell to 4-2 on the season and 1-1 in RMLC conference play. Read More
#5 Colorado State Men Roll Over Utah State - 3/9/07
Provo, UT – In their first RMLC league game of the year, the #5 Colorado State Rams scored nine goals in the first quarter and led 11-1 on their way to an easy 14-5 win over the Utah State Aggies. The two teams played on the campus of Brigham Young University at the school’s turf football practice facility. 13 players scored points as the Rams emptied their bench early and often to run their record to 4-1 and 1-0 in conference play. Fort Collins, CO – The #5 Colorado State Rams took a 9-3 lead into the halftime break and held off a lively #22 Loyola Marymount squad in the second half to get their third straight win on Sunday afternoon. CSU’s first home game of the season was played under a beautiful sunny sky and warm temperatures as the Rams ran their record to 3-1 on the season with their 14-9 win. Read More
Strong Second Half Propels #5 CSU over D-III Colorado College - 3/3/07
Colorado Springs, CO – Trailing 5-4 after the first half, the #5 Colorado State Rams used a balanced scoring attack and strong second half effort to down rival Division III Colorado College on a sunny and relatively warm day in Colorado Springs. CSU outscored the Tigers 7-1 in the final thirty minutes as they slowly pulled away to gain their fourth straight victory in this series. 12 different players ended up on the score sheet on Saturday afternoon as CSU gained an impressive 11-6 win. Eugene, OR – After their worst loss in nearly a decade on Friday night, the #1 Colorado State Rams bounced back in a big way against the #4 Sonoma State Seawolves, turning a 10-7 lead after three quarters into a 17-7 victory. While rain had plagued most of the weekend, Sunday afternoon’s game at the University of Oregon was played under relatively pleasant conditions and even featured a glimpse or two of the sun. #8 Oregon Dominates #1 CSU in Season Opener 19-6 - 2/23/07
Eugene, OR - The preseason #1 Colorado State Rams were rudely introduced to the 2007 season on Friday night as the #8 Oregon Ducks jumped out to a 10-0 lead en route to an easy 19-6 victory. The game was played at the University of Oregon on a cold and rainy night as everything that could go wrong did go wrong for the visiting Rams. When all was said and done, the Ducks blew out the Rams 19-6, CSU's worst defeat in nearly a decade. It was also Oregon's first win over CSU in two previous attempts. Read More
