DERBY DAY
The first Saturday in May. I miss having Jim Mckay do the TV,
We had a very productive morning session on the outfield of a pee-wee baseball field as the little Sandy Phillies played the little Sandy Mets nearby on the infield. Every ball hit on the ground looks like a fire drill gone awry, complete with parents on patrol out in the field. When we played ball when I was a kid there were no stinkin' parents out there like angels in the outfield to "watch over me". Look! I made it this far anyway. Of course there are all those anger issues I might still have that all likely started the first time I struck out.........
We have the best bus driver ever, and I'm saying that is a good sign, too (the other one being the Little Phillies).
OUR D-DAY TOO
It is shaping up to be a pretty warm afternoon. It looks as if the skies will not be cloudy all day. It might come down to a question of hydration. I will not get a chance to write until tomorrow after I have slept in my own bed for a while. That is many miles from now. CSU people that want to know the score will have to call the CSU Lacrosse hot line at 970-495-4646.
We check out in about an hour. Showtime has come (again).
